Grok 4.7 is out: xAI's newest model targets coding and office work at $2 per million input tokens
Elon Musk's AI company, which now brands itself SpaceXAI on its website, released Grok 4.7 on Monday, Sept. 21, calling it its most capable model for coding and knowledge work, built on a new, larger base model and served at the same price and speed as Grok 4.6: $2 per million input tokens and $6 per million output tokens. The company says the model checks its own work more carefully, comes with an entirely new safety stack, and is available in Cursor, Grok Build, the Grok API and other platforms; GitHub said the same day it is rolling out in GitHub Copilot. Decrypt reported that in published benchmarks Grok 4.7 still placed second to rival models on several tests.
